After the success of the first edition of the International Conference for Condition-Based Maintenance in Aerospace (ICCBMA) in Delft, we are delighted to announce the holding of the second edition. This in-person edition will take place in Paris, hosted by Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology, on 11-13 September 2024. The ICCBM conference is entirely dedicated to the topic of Condition-based Maintenance (CBM) in the aerospace domain.
Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) is a cutting-edge integrated technology that has been the subject of intense research and vigorous development, becoming a hotly debated interdisciplinary field in both academia and industry. However, the current forums only focus on parts of the CBM chain and are not specifically aimed at the aerospace sector or are commercially oriented. There is, therefore, a need for a specific conference to bring together practitioners and scientists to discuss research and promote the development of the whole CBM chain for the aerospace industry. Usually, structural health monitoring (SHM) is discussed on one side, prognostics and systems health management (PHM) on the other, and fleet availability management (FAM) issues again separately. Through ICCBMA, we aim to help bridge the gap between what is done in the laboratory and the industrial deployment of the 3 pillars of CBM (i.e., SHM, PHM, and FAM). We look forward to fruitful dialogues and interactions among academic and industrial stakeholders about methodologies, strategies, business cases, and the technological and regulatory frameworks essential for advancing the implementation of CBM within the aeronautics domain.
