The 14th International Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring (IWSHM) will be held on September 12-14, 2023, at Stanford University, CA (www.iwshm.org). We are planning for an in-person meeting. IWSHM remains committed to providing a forum for information sharing, collaboration, and advancing research vital to our community.
The workshop features reviews of SHM growth in the last two decades and examines opportunities for future SHM research and applications. The global demands on minimizing carbon footprint and renewal energy to deal with climate change require the introduction of new materials, new energy sources, and new fabrication techniques in constructions throughout the industry, particularly in infrastructures and transportation systems. To cope with the new demands for sustainability, durability, and reliability, advanced design with built-in SHM would enable autonomous inspection and intelligent data-driven diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to meet the needs of general applications in aerospace, mechanical engineering, and civil infrastructure. The theme of 2023 IWSHM is "Designing SHM for Sustainability, Maintainability, and Reliability." Therefore, Papers related to the Integration of SHM concept in design and implementation of SHM into manufacturing and constructions are highly appreciated and interested.
The call for papers is open until march 1, 2023. Submit your papers online on the website www.iwshm.org
