At Doosan Babcock, we design and deliver smart energy products and solutions globally to help create a greener future for generations to come. The Asset Management sector within the organisation carries the bulk of the Group's nuclear NDT activities in France, for Electricite de France (EDF).   Our NDT Department boasts more than 30 years of experience in developing, qualifying and implementing Automated and Specialist NDT solutions within the nuclear industry, and supporting several different types of reactors across a global market (PWR, BWR, AGR, PHWR, VVER and RBMK). 

Doosan Babcock has been working with EDF, in both France and the UK (EDF Energy), for more than 20 years on the automated and specialist ultrasonic inspection of critical nuclear components.

Our success is based on our People.  The professionalism of everyone, engineers and technicians, and all highly qualified, allows us to be at the cutting edge of technology and one of the leaders in the field. As part of our continuing development we are recruiting NDT Project Managers to relocate to our Technology and Engineering office located in Renfrew, Scotland.

The purpose of these positions will be to manage our Automated NDT projects with EDF.  We would expect the Project Manager to be fluent in both English and French and iIdeal candidates will have extensive experience within the Nuclear industry and hold a formal qualification in Engineering or Construction. Applicants should be well versed to efficiently run projects using our PM governance procedures demonstrating all expected PM attributes. The PM will be capable of running medium sized Automated NDT projects and have prior knowledge and experience working with EDF.

Profil

The successful candidate will liaise directly with our clients and stakeholders, manage project teams, deal with major supply chain partners and sub-contractors as should have a good understanding of contract conditions and deliver on all as sold margins whilst saluting all quality and safety expectations. 

Duties will include management through the full project lifecycle from proposal to contract close out including all required reportage therein (commercial, planning, resourcing, cost control, change control, chair customer meetings, chair progress meetings, etc). This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly successful team, focusing on highly specialised and interesting projects.
