Materials Testing 2019 will take place from 3-5 September in Telford, UK. The biennial event - which is the world’s most comprehensive exhibition of NDT, materials testing, condition monitoring and diagnostic technologies - will feature over 70 exhibitors plus a wide range of seminars and practical workshops.
Materials Testing 2019 is free to attend for visitors and will run alongside NDT 2019, the annual conference featuring presentations from leading global academics and practitioners. Both events are organised by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT).
This year’s show comes as new technologies are transforming the NDT industry, while changes in the market are driving growth. According to Market Research Future Analysis, the global NDT services market is to grow at a healthy CAGR of 8% during the coming years to reach an estimated value of US$26 billion by the end of 2023.
Paul Fidgeon, Chair of the organising committee, said: “The industry is undergoing a period of transformation. On the one hand tighter safety regulations, smart factories and the use of new materials are driving demand or creating a need for new inspection techniques. On the other, new technologies such as big data, predictive analytics, cloud computing and IoT offer new possibilities and encouraging uptake of NDT in areas such as food or pharmaceuticals.
“Materials Testing is a global meeting place for the industry where practitioners can keep up to date with developments and exchange ideas. There has never been a better time to attend.”
Materials Testing 2019 is open from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 September and from 9.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday 5 September and takes place at the International Centre in Telford.
