Abstracts

We cordially invite you to submit an abstract for the 13th International Symposium on Nondestructive Characterization of Materials.
Abstracts should not exceed 3,000 characters (including spaces) or a one-page document.  The program committee will evaluate all abstracts.  Accepted abstracts will be selected for oral presentations.
Abstracts should include: name, address, e-mail and phone numbers of all the authors.  The corresponding author should be listed as the first author of the submission.  All abstracts should be in English, submitted in Microsoft Word or PDF format.  Other formats will not be considered for presentation or publication in the conference proceedings.  The abstract should be e-mailed as an attachment to the NDCM13@cnde.com.

Partial List of topics for the symposium:

Advanced Techniques, Laser Ultrasound, Aerospace Application, Medical Imaging, Art & Archeology Preservation, Microwave, Acoustic Emission, Millimeter Wave, Amorphous Materials, Modeling, Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Bond Strength Evaluation, Nuclear Materials, Composite Material Properties, Optical Materials, Eddy Current, Precursor Damage, Electronic Materials, Radiography & Digital Radiography, Emerging Technology, Raman Spectroscopy, Fatigue & Fracture, Shearography & Laser Techniques, Health Monitoring, Signal Processing, Imaging, Terahertz Imaging, Infrastructure, Ultrasonics

The symposium also encourages papers addressing other issues of current and future interest.  Of considerable interest are state-of-the-art developments and applications where the complex nature of materials is recognized.  Furthermore, discussions on the applications and possibilities for multi-technique measurements of interdependent parameters and the evaluation of the data through sophisticated computer analysis are also encouraged

10th International Conference on Non Destructive Evaluation in relation to structural integrity for nuclear and pressurized components
Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) of nuclear and pressurized components poses unique challenges because of the vital need to ensure structural integrity of those components. The 10th International Conference on NDE in Relation to Structural Integrity for Nuclear and Pressurized Components will provide a topical forum for discussion of these issues. The Conference will be held in Cannes, France, from 1st to 3rd of October 2013.
The conference website is www.10thnde.com
The overall objective of the conference is to provide a forum for an up-to-date assessment of the development and application of NDE and to allow technical interchange between international experts. The conference will cover all aspects of this extremely important subject, with special regard to the links between structural integrity requirements and NDE performance. The development of improved NDE systems and methods will be highlighted. Measurement and improvement of NDE performance and reliability will be featured, including development and operational experience in qualification systems or performance demonstration.
The Conference is coordinated by the COFREND (Confédération Française pour les Essais Non Destructifs).
Input from the different continents is co-ordinated by:
  • Europe & Africa: Dr. Michel Biéth, EC DG JRC, Institute for Energy - The Netherlands
  • North, Central and South America: Mr. Greg Selby, EPRI Charlotte Office - USA
  • Asia and Oceania: Professor Toshiyuki Takagi, Tohoku University, Sendai - Japan
