3rd International FAC2013 conference on Flow Accelerated Corrosion
Du 21/05/2013 au 24/05/2013, Région: Sud-Est , Lieu: Avignon
Flow Accelerated Corrosion has been experienced worldwide and can occur in all types of nuclear and fossil power plants. Although the FAC mechanism has been studied for a long time these last 40 years, it remains one of the major safety issues for personnel and plant availability. In the context of the ageing management of NPPs, power upgrades and the life time extension strategy, sharing knowledge on FAC and operating experience is a crucial part for maintaining effective FAC programs.
Organized by EDF DTG, the FAC2013 conference goal is to continue the improvement and spreading of existing know-how on FAC in the widest possible way thus strengthening the international cooperation.
The FAC2013 edition follows the two successful FAC2008 and FAC2010 EDF DTG conferences. The event hosted over 150 attendees from 25 countries. Numerous technical presentations covering predictions and modelling of FAC, non-destructive examinations methods, operational feedback, test loop R&D investigations results and steam and water chemistry were given from various organizations.
Who should attend?
Power plant operators, Engineering companies, research centers, universities, maintenance and Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) companies and contractors, consultants, regulatory commissions as well as urban heating companies will have the opportunity to present and attend technical presentations, to see NDE exhibitions and to get up to date information.

Du 01/10/2013 au 03/10/2013, Région: Sud-Est , Lieu: Cannes, FRANCE
Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) of nuclear and pressurized components poses unique challenges because of the vital need to ensure structural integrity of those components. The 10th International Conference on NDE in Relation to Structural Integrity for Nuclear and Pressurized Components will provide a topical forum for discussion of these issues. The Conference will be held in Cannes, France, from 1st to 3rd of October 2013.
The conference website is www.10thnde.com
The overall objective of the conference is to provide a forum for an up-to-date assessment of the development and application of NDE and to allow technical interchange between international experts. The conference will cover all aspects of this extremely important subject, with special regard to the links between structural integrity requirements and NDE performance. The development of improved NDE systems and methods will be highlighted. Measurement and improvement of NDE performance and reliability will be featured, including development and operational experience in qualification systems or performance demonstration.
The Conference is coordinated by the COFREND (Confédération Française pour les Essais Non Destructifs).
